Background:
Organizing the opposition to Measure I, the Long Beach Parcel Tax Hike Measure, was one of my main projects while working with Svorinich and Associates.

I was hired to bring Svorinich and Associates and Golden State Campaigns into the Greater Long Beach area, and I did that in a big way. (Click here for an article on the fight against the Parcel Tax.)

Up against a major political machine in Long Beach, CA, I and a small group of campaign supporters were able to use ingenious strategies that garnered maximum media coverage and helped turned the tide against the city.

In the end, Measure I needed 2/3 to pass and only received 52%, even though they spent almost $700,000.

The amount spent to defeat it: around $8,000.
